Ollie and Helen Bogsted Memorial Scholarship

Grandpa Ollie and Grandma Helen were special people in Brian’s life and thanks to the generosity of his family, they are now remembered through a scholarship in their name at Suring High School where Ollie graduated from and where they spent their married life together. 

Ollie served this country and community his entire life. Ollie was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, served as a police officer and worked as an electrician most of his life.

Helen was a talented seamstress and incredibly good cook who devoted her life to her family.  Ollie and Helen were married for 54 years when Ollie passed away in 2004; Helen in 2014.

They will always be remembered for their compassion, love of life, and admiration of their family.
